With its own gift shop and museum learn about its 185-year maritime history, quarrying, and lobster industry. On-site photo discussions and exercises will demonstrate how quality of light enhances a photograph and how the direction of light controls shape, form, and texture. Plan 3-4 hours if you want to stay for sunset.
Take RT 131 south from Thomaston for 15 miles. Once in the village of Port Clyde follow signs to the lighthouse. Meet at the flag pole.
