About your guide: Dee Peppe
All tours are led by me, Dee Peppe, a longtime local, fine-art photographer and professor at the University of Maine. I bring a unique combination of local knowledge and teaching experience to the itinerary of every tour. While covering camera techniques, I strive to show you ways to expand your vision and increase your awareness of your surroundings. I will help you understand the camera controls that can support your vision, and overall, to help you to see the world through your camera with more creative ability.
I moved to Maine in 1979 and have been leading students to field trip locations on the coast of Maine since 1990. My passion for photography and my enthusiasm for teaching will create a fun, informative, and inspiring education and travel experience while exploring the beautiful Maine coast and beyond.
My strengths in teaching photography is that in helping students realize their personal vision. I explain the complicated digital camera systems in simple terms. I will help you understand the camera controls that can support your vision, and overall, to help you to see the world through your camera with more creative ability.
Bio:
Dee Peppe, has led photographic travel workshops to France, Belize, and Guatemala and has been teaching photography in the workshop format since 1990. Dee has a Master of Fine Arts degree from Savannah College of Art and Design and her photographs are included in museum, corporate, and private collections. Dee loves working with students of all ages and brings photography education into grade schools, high schools, and other colleges as an artist in residence. Other schools where she has taught includes Maine Media Workshops, Pensacola State College, Colby College, and College of the Atlantic.
