Join this yoga + photo retreat on a coastal Maine island for a unique experience. There will be photo discussions and lessons, shooting excursions, and yoga sessions. You’ll expand your vision, deepen your mindful awareness, and ignite your creativity. Slow down, be present in the moment, and enhance your observational skills on this rare and exclusive workshop retreat.

Photography + Yoga – creating images with mindfulness

The idea for this photo + yoga retreat started over two decades ago when I began attending yoga retreats at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. in Stockbridge, MA. I experienced how yoga and creativity are complementary practices and both are rooted in mindfulness. When I quiet my mind, I can hear my heart and it is from the heart where powerful, moving images come from. It is how we breathe life into an image.

Join us for this unique combination of practicing yoga and daily photo excursions on a coastal Maine island. We will provide space on the mat, and on our excursions, for you to connect and listen to your heart. We will dive deeper, look longer, and tap into the essence of your unique vision.

“The Yoga + Photo trip was beyond anything I ever imagined. Every day was a new experience. I came in with an open mind and soul, a love for photography & yoga, and I couldn’t be more thankful for such an amazing experience!! It was magical. Jocelyn, the chef, prepared meals with love and nourished our bellies/bodies with fresh foods and captivated us with her fun energy. I would highly recommend booking the next opportunity this comes along.” – Lauren P.

“I thoroughly enjoyed this photography and yoga retreat. Learning more from Dee about both the technical and creative aspects of photography and then applying them in such a beautiful setting was sensational. Practicing yoga everyday was healing and was a great accompaniment to photography. Shout out to our chef, Jocelyn, for her delicious food.” – Suzanne J.
